Cancer cells are constantly forming in the human body every day. However, the immune system of the human body exerts its immune surveillance and immune defense functions to limit their growth. Among these functions, NK (Natural Killer) cells play a very important role in controlling the occurrence and development of cancer cells. NK cells are a key type of non-specific immune cell that continuously monitors cancer cells and viruses in the body, eliminating all cancers in their infancy and serving as the first line of natural defense against tumors in the human body.

在匈牙利布达佩斯举办的第二届国际免疫治疗大会上，一项免疫治疗研究案例引起了高度的关注，并受到了专业人士的称赞：印度钦奈顶尖再生医学中心（NCRM）用NK细胞免疫治疗技术成功治愈了一名54岁的卵巢癌患者，在接受免疫治疗后，患者体内扩散到肝脏和脾脏的癌症已停止进一步生长，其他转移灶也相继缩减。据称，该患者已恢复以前的正常生活规律。

一般来说，晚期卵巢癌预后极差。在提交到国际大会的这个病例中，患者在6月进行了卵巢癌手术并进行了化疗，第二年7月癌症复发并扩散到肝、脾和淋巴结（IV期），患者在进行化疗同时接受了NK细胞免疫治疗。跟踪患者临床状况的肿瘤学家Ramanan博士发现，该患者的生活质量有了显著改善，治疗前癌症标记物CEA-125＞230 U/mL，后期降到了约为4U/mL的正常值范围。

Ramanan博士指出，因为使用的是她自己的免疫细胞，所以这位患者没有出现排斥或不良反应，这也增加了此技术的安全性。且基于细胞的免疫治疗与其他常规治疗方法联合使用，其安全性和有效性也得到很好的证明。
